Functional scope of tembanking

tembanking has a number of components that are supplemented and updated constantly. Thanks to the underlying framework all components may be combined with each other so that individual solutions may be compiled for different areas of use. tembanking supports both client capability as well as multilingualism scalability and multibank capability (via FTAM/EBICS/SWIFT).

Two typical configurations of tembanking are provided in the following by way of example:

All in all the following functionalities are available in tembanking:

Payment transactions

tembanking provides all functions required for the processing of payment transactions in the corporate client area and in the private client area. This includes the reading in of payment transactions from other systems (e.g. SAP), the manual compilation of payments, the signing (single, multiple and from different locations) as well as the transmission of these payments to banks.

In order to communicate with banks, tembanking uses the BCS/FTAM or EBICS protocols, for example, can generate over 20 different foreign payment transaction formats, and tembanking supports the most important SWIFT message types.

Account information

tembanking requests account information from all banks conducting accounts in MT940/942 format. The balances are automatically calculated when importing this data. The account information may be shown in the form of the usual account statement or aggregated according to different classification criteria (currency, group company conducting accounts, bank conducting the accounts). Graphic analyses visualise the development of liquidity on the accounts in order to identify any anomalies at first glance.

In addition to current accounts, tembanking can also show credit card accounts in the browser and therefore enhance the acceptance of the credit card product by timely listing of turnover and the possibility to trigger a chargeback online.

Converters, adapters and reports

tembanking interacts with other systems (bank, price suppliers, accounting departments etc.). A number of converters and adapters permits tembanking to be integrated into existing corporate infrastructures without any unnecessary expense via standard formats and protocols.

All data and transactions recorded in tembanking are summarised in clear reports. They may be requested via the browser so that analyses are available in a constantly updated form. These reports in different formats (Excel, text, pdf, csv...) can be used for audits in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley Act or similar or for internal purposes such as controlling.

Liquidity management

tembanking supports liquidity management by bringing together budgeted data with the payments already in the system and the imported account statements from the banks. This generates a liquidity preview for a free selectable area within which individual items maybe shifted between accounts. Accounts receivable and payable are offset against each other within the group before they are transmitted as payments to the banks.

An overlay cash pool is also possible at group and bank level using tembanking. tembanking generates the requisite pooling entries, transfers these to the banks conducting the accounts, enters the pooled amounts to internal accounts and offers an interest scale for these.

Brokerage and portfolio management

tembanking offers the complete front end to conduct stock exchange transactions and to manage real or fictitious portfolios online. The customers can observe, buy and sell different types of securities here as well as subscribe to news on the securities and be advised in the case of breaches of limits.

For this purpose tembanking reads and stores market data (securities, currencies, news etc.) via adapters to the usual data suppliers. These prepared data are provided in the browser and can be used to assess portfolios, as a foundation of stock market transactions or, for example, to assess foreign currency items.
