• Platform-independent client-side application.
• Access to the SIM Center for various institutions is facilitated by fat clients by way of https Web services and via „diskless“ thin clients through a https browser connection. SmartCards with SSL client certificates are used for authentication from start to finish. The required PKI is provided by a certified trust center in compliance with the German Signature Act. That is why the user’s identity has to be verified by a standardized secure procedure.
• GENOMatch provides Web services for contract laboratories to enable the secure integration of local stock-keeping systems with GENOMatch.
• All e-mail communication is entirely S/MIME encrypted. This applies to both communication amongst users and the transfer of data and orders to external service providers (e.g. barcode printers).
• Therefore, any type of communication is protected by high-level cryptography and encrypted and signed at all times.
